Stops along the route
The Red Tower
Built in the 13th century, octagonal, 33 metres tall. The Alanya Ethnography Museum is on its first floor.
The Alanya Shipyard
The historic five-arched shipyard. Loggerhead turtles are often seen in the bay around it; no boats have been built here for 60 years.
Lovers' Cave
A 34-metre-high cave that cuts through the peninsula. The ceiling drops to 1.5 metres in places — not recommended if you are claustrophobic.
Pirates' Cave
A 78-metre ceiling and a narrow entrance. Pirates once used it to store loot; only small boats can get inside.
Phosphorus Cave
Named after the phosphorescent shimmer of its water. One of the swimming-stop points.
Cleopatra Beach
Alanya's best-known beach, Blue Flag certified. Boats stop for swimming 50 metres offshore; water sports take place here.
Ulaş Beach
A calm beach hidden between rock columns; lunch is usually served here. Mediterranean monk seals live on the rocks 40 metres offshore.
Departure harbour
Tours leave from the harbour in central Alanya, where close to a hundred boats are moored. Alanya Marina, at the western entrance to town, is a separate harbour.
